Pennington Smart Feed Sprayer System

I am an agent with BzzAgent.  I was recently offered the opportunity to join their Pennington Smart Feed Sprayer System Campaign.  Basically what that means is they would send me a FREE Pennington Smart Feed Sprayer System for me to try and review the product.  Needless to say I was REALLY EXCITED to try this item.  The item arrived but it wasn't quite warm enough here yet to plant flowers without them getting hit by frost so I waited.  Once I knew we were past the "cold spell" I went to Walmart and bought a few flowers as well as a new hose, as my hubby said the hose we had would not reach the flowers I wanted to use the feed system on.  I planted my new flowers and hooked up the new hose.  I WAS READY!!!  I screwed my hose on to the feeder system and yelled to DH to "turn on the water".  I WAS BLASTED WITH WATER...are you kidding me?? Water was leaking all over the place from the unit.  This was quite frustrating.  I had DH take a look at the mechanism to make sure I didn't mess something up.  He told me the hose connection was fine and it looked like the mechanism itself was a dud.  SERIOUSLY??? Just my luck, I get an item I am REALLY EXCITED to use and it doesn't work...UGH.  So I did what anybody else would do....I started searching YOUTUBE.  I found a short video clip (like 3 seconds long) and their system did the same thing mine did.  This particular person stated that it appeared her hose was not long enough so she tried another hose and it worked fine.  Could this correct my problem perhaps??  <happy again> I attached the mechanism to another hose and WHAMO sprayed with water again (of course I didn't learn the first time).  So here I am with this Pennington Smart Feed System that I wanted to use so bad and alas it malfunctions from the factory so I can't even use it.  Would I recommend this to another person.  NO WAY not at this point.

If you look at the pictures, it was leaking in between the grey and green part.
